Its amazing to me how many local businesses still haven’t claimed their listing on top online directory sites like Google My Business, Yelp and Local.com. Just to name a few.

From personal experience it comes down to three main reasons.

First, they don’t even really know about them. Yes, they know of them but they’ve never looked into the benefits of why they should get listed.

Second, there’s so many out there that they don’t know where to start. They get overwhelmed thinking about all the different options that they never get started.

Lastly, they don’t want to spend the time doing it themselves. They have “better” things to do in their business than worry about getting listed on directories.
